Bespoke ties and bow ties, pocket squares, Pasotti umbrellas, made-to-measure shoes · avenue Hoche, Paris 8th.

A silhouette signs its name in the details. A Dolcepunta tie sewn by hand and cut to your length, a pocket square rolled on all four edges, a Pasotti umbrella with a sculpted handle, made-to-measure shoes: I choose each piece from Italian houses and bring it into tune with your wardrobe.

Why bespoke accessories?

Because a wardrobe is conceived as a whole. A tie that falls exactly to the waistband, a pocket square that holds its fold, a shoe that carries the line of the trouser down to the floor: these are the harmonies by which you recognise a silhouette built to the millimetre. I choose each accessory from Italian houses that still work by hand, and match it to your bespoke suit: to its cloth, its colours, its cut.

02 · The tie

Can a tie be bespoke?

Yes, and that is where it comes into its own. I compose it with Dolcepunta, an Italian tie maker that sews every piece by hand: a silk chosen from more than two hundred, printed or woven, then a construction, a length and a width set to your height, your collar and the knot you favour. It falls exactly to the waistband, and its knot fills the collar of your bespoke shirt.

  • The constructionthree folds for everyday suppleness; seven folds, lined or unlined, for more body; eleven folds for the fullest and the rarest.
  • The lengthfrom 120 to 200 cm, according to your height and your knot.
  • The widthfrom 5 to 10 cm, matched to the width of your lapels.
  • The interlininglight, medium or heavy: it decides the volume of the knot.
  • The finishesa two-tone version, your initials embroidered by hand, a silk box.

03 · The bow tie

The bespoke bow tie: why tie it yourself?

Always a self-tie: the slight irregularity of the knot is the signature of the hand, and its length is set exactly to your neck. It is cut from the lapel silk of your bespoke tuxedo, satin or grosgrain, or from a Dolcepunta silk, plain, striped or patterned, for less formal dinners. At an evening wedding, the groom and his best men wear it in the same silk, each to his own measure.

04 · The pocket square

Which pocket square should you wear with your suit?

The one that answers the tie without ever copying it. A printed silk by day, ivory satin by night, a plain square that picks up one of the colours in the pattern of your tie: the pocket square is chosen with the outfit, never apart from it. Dolcepunta's are rolled by hand on all four edges, and sized to the breast pocket of your jacket so that the square holds without slumping, folded flat, in points or in a puff.

05 · The umbrella

Why a luxury umbrella by Pasotti?

Because an umbrella is chosen like any piece of the wardrobe: on a rainy day, it is the first thing people see. The house of Pasotti shapes its umbrellas by hand, and the handle is an object in its own right: a crook of plaited leather, a twisted pommel, the head of a greyhound, a lion or a horse, sculpted, then silvered or gilded. The shaft is slender, the canopy drawn taut and clean; furled, it is carried on the arm like a cane. I show you the collection at the salon, from €210 to €684 depending on the handle, so that canopy and handle can be matched to your coat.

06 · The shoes

Why made-to-measure shoes?

Because the right shoe carries the line of the suit down to the floor. Made to measure, it starts from a proven last, chosen with you, then adjusted to your feet: their length, their width, the height of the instep, all taken at the salon. Style, leather, patina and sole are decided with you, in keeping with your suits, so that the trouser line runs unbroken to the ground. Shoes keep their own calendar, which I confirm when you order.

Frequently asked questions

What we are asked

How much does a bespoke tie cost?

A bespoke tie starts at €190, silk included, in a three-fold construction. The seven-fold, lined or unlined, and the eleven-fold, the fullest of all, sit above it; length up to 150 cm, width and interlining are set at no extra cost. I am happy to compose it with the shirt and the suit it will accompany, so that everything speaks the same language.

Can I order an accessory without a suit?

Yes. A tie, a pocket square, an umbrella or a pair of shoes can be your first order with the house. The measurements and preferences noted on that occasion join your file, kept in your name, and serve every new piece of your wardrobe.

Can the accessories of a wedding party be matched?

Yes: it is, in fact, what they do best. Ties or bow ties in the same silk for the groom and his best men, pocket squares in harmony, coloured buttonholes: we compose the whole with the outfits, on the group configurator, before each piece is confirmed.

Are the shoes bespoke?

They are made to measure: each shoe starts from a proven last, adjusted to the length, width and instep taken at the salon. Style, leather, patina and sole are chosen with you; the making time, particular to shoes, is confirmed when you order.
